This is my amazing group of team teachers... I kinda like them... like a lot :) We are all so alike and yet so different that there's never a dull moment with these gals! Amanda on the left is our newest addition this year and she is so fun and energetic and happy that you can't help but smile and laugh when you are around her. Plus her raps and jingles she makes up are Grammy worthy! Next there's Jen who is so kind and caring and is always thinking of others before herself. She shows true altruism to everybody she meets. (Altruism is a 5th grade vocab word... do you know what it means?) I've never met anybody who gets a thank you note out faster than that girl! And then on the far right is my main team teacher who I share kids with, Jenna. She is the funniest, friendliest, and sweetest person in the world. She is going to be leaving me in a couple weeks :( to have her little baby and we are all so excited for her. Although, I don't know how I'm going to finish the school year without her. She's the peanut butter to my jelly, the macaroni to my cheese, the Maverick to my Goose... ya get my drift I'm sure. These 3 girls are fantastic teachers and more importantly fantastic friends... I'm lucky to teach with them everyday!

This week had theme days for testing and of course we are ALL about the theme days! The theme was multiplicity day and we were quadruplets... cheerleading bow flashbacks...

Can you tell which grade we teach? Yay we can count!

Today was pattern day. At first stripes, plaids, and polka dots entered our minds... but we took it one step further. What if... what if... we did a MATH pattern... oooooohhhhh... even better. What's even funnier is that instead of calling us by our names, the students would say things like, "Hey 1/4 where's 3/4?" Or "Did you know that 2 of 2/4 would equal the 4/4?" You get the picture ;)

See the pattern... we are way cool in the 5th grade... trust me ;) Probably not so much when we interact with adults though lol!
