KC Scrapbook Convention
2 weekends ago was something I've been looking forward to for months and months and months. The scrapbook convention was in town!!!!! If you're laughing at me right now and rolling your eyes I don't care.... cause it was AWESOME! I even took a personal day that Friday so Lora and I could take 2 classes on Friday. Poor poor Ash had a volleyball tournament so she couldn't miss out on school. We got there at 8 a.m., took two classes, and shopped ALL DAY LONG. Our bodies literally shopped till they dropped cause we were exhausted! Here's a quick recap:
Here's the left side of the convention... the rows and rows of shopping went back farther too.
This is the right side... more shopping obviously :) And the classes were held in hotel convention rooms.
After scrapping and shopping all day Lora and I were in need of a margarita and some Jeryn time :)
She had the cutest outfit on! She looked so darling with her little leggings and foofy skirt. Yes foofy is a word.
The other highlight of the weekend was celebrating Bob's birthday!!! And I don't think he even lied about his age like somebody else I know... starts with an A, rhymes with dashley???
Check out the free dessert!!!
Back for Day 2 at the convention!!! I almost felt embarrassed taking my picture by this sign. But then I realized I was at a scrapbook convention, nobody there was judging my ridiculous picture taking. Shoot... they did the same thing I'm sure. Saturday we took two more classes then did just a little bit of shopping for what we missed out on the day before.
The boytoy was even nice enough to set up a scrap station back at the house for us gals! This is our damage from the weekend. I sold my left kidney on the black market to buy it all ;)
Some of the loot... it was scrapbook mecca!!!!!! I can't wait to return next year! Glad I have an awesome mother-in-law that had just as much fun as I did :)

Henry & Uncle Al
THANK YOU to all those saying prayers for little Henry... each day is bringing better news for that handsome little guy! Keep checking his blog for updates on how he's doing. We are also praying for Trent's family tonight as they mourn the loss of his Uncle Al. Lots of bad news lately... we appreciate all the prayers and thoughts sent out to our families and our friends.

Prayers for Henry David Hermon
I'm so glad that my last post was about our favorite cause, Bikers for Babies, because we have a new baby in our lives we are asking prayers for... little Henry David Hermon. If you remember this blog post back in February... it was when we got the news that Dave and Dana were expecting their first baby! It was right in the middle of everything that happened with Ashley and Jeryn... but 8 months later they are a-okay and we now pass our prayers to our dear friends and their new little guy.
Henry was born on Wednesday and was life-flighted to Children's Mercy for some extra special care. If there's anything we know... it's that Children's Mercy is the place to be!!! They did wonderful things for Jeryn and we have total faith that they will do amazing things for Henry as well. Please pray for Henry, Dave & Dana, and both of their families.
Here is a blog that Henry's Aunt Kelli has started for him: hopeandhealingforhenry.blogspot.com
Go visit to see Henry's story and see pictures of that handsome little guy!

Bikers for Babies
A couple weekends ago was the Bikers for Babies ride that we've done the past couple years up here in KC. This year had a new meaning for us since we have our own little miracle baby in the family now!
It's amazing to see 6,000+ bikers come up to ride for babies... that's ALOT of bikes!
Bob ready to ride
Up again early on a weekend?!? Ugh ;)
I had to steal this picture from Ashley... Jeryn's face cracks me up!

Bob riding
I couldn't figure out how to rotate my picture on here... so I'm just gonna leave this one as is :(
Haha... she has THE BEST facial expressions! I would love to know what's going through her mind.
We love our biker niece!
She looks thrilled doesn't she?

Slackin' Again
I've been a very bad, bad blogger :( Here's some more updates....
This is a mirror that Trent dumpster dived for me from our old duplex in Olathe. It was in a pretty banged up situation... but after two years of living in our basement it was time for an overhaul.
After a coat of primer and a couple coats of spray paint... here she is fancied up! It reminded me of the mirrors in princess Disney movies and whoever threw it out in our old cul-de-sac... THANK YOU! One man's trash... another man's treasure ;)
Here's her new home :) She is now hanging in our front foyer. The grand plan for someday is to have a Pottery Barn type bench and basket storage underneath it. What would be really awesome is for Trent to use his new tools and build me one ;)
Me and Jeryn Fe at the GEHS game... she was the best looking Blazer fan in the stands!
I know this one is dark... but Jeryn is just too darn cute to not post it.
I would like to say that me, Jess, Cays and the rest of us gals at the game were there for the football... but let's be honest... we were there for the cheerleaders and the socializing.
Jeryn and her Tio Trent in a deep convo
All bundled up once it got dark.
Almost time for bed.
Shantel, Adam, & Baby Hunter at the game.
After the game we came back to our house for the after-party... which of course meant power hour!
Post-power-hour

This is our hard pic... riiiight. If you only knew how many we had before this because somebody was always cracking up.
The guys have learned to stay clear of power hour by hiding upstairs with the food.
September's surprise date night was planned by me. Like I've mentioned in some other posts... Trent and I are taking turns planning our monthly date nights for the other person.
My date night was taking Trent to his first ever Cinema Suites experience at AMC 30! My first time was earlier this summer and I've been going on and on and on for months about how he's been missing out. So after hearing him talk about wanting to see Ben Affleck's new movie, The Town, EVERY time he sees a commercial for it... I knew I had my date night done :) We had a blast... ate ourselves silly... and had a fantastic September date! Plus the movie was awesome... Ben is making a comeback!
My buddy Austin had a beer and diapers party this weekend so we could all meet his new bundle of joy, Hunter James. He is the tiniest baby I've ever held... he was only 4 pounds something... itty bitty!
I love him... I'll just overlook that nasty K-state crap Austin put him in ;)
