"Vegas is Disneyworld for adults"- Jobeth

We started planning our end of April trip to Vegas clear back around Halloween... so the big trip was much anticipated!  This was our first big vacation with friends we've ever done so to say that we were excited was an understatement.  I could barely get through the day at work!!  Especially cause you really can't tell 5th graders that you're headed to Vegas.  They know what happens in Vegas ;)

Kyle's parents were nice enough to let us borrow the family van to drive up to the airport.

Jess made sure to wear her brightest clothing so she wouldn't get lost ;)

On the plane and soooo excited to leave KC.

In the loudest cab ride we've ever taken.  For real.  Our driver "Mo" had a pimped out/blacked out Suburban that took us to our resort.  Everyone's ears were ringing after our 10 minute cab ride cause of his LOUD speakers.  I'm not exaggerating either! And no... pimped out is not usually in my everyday vocabulary.  Even though I'm pretty gangsta ;)

As soon as we got to the condo we quickly changed into some warmer clothes and hit the strip!  This was my first time to Vegas and I was in awe of all the lights/sights/sounds!

Jess had told us the Bellagio fountains were so beautiful that it could make you cry and she didn't disappoint- they were easily one of my top 5 faves from the trip!

Who knew that a pineapple vodka could cost you almost 10 bucks.  Dang..... totally worth it though :)
A Statue of Liberty made entirely of Jelly Beans?!?  Almost pretty enough not to eat... almost... I'd start with her crown in case you were wondering.

Couple's strip pictures.  That sounds dirty- I meant couples posing on the Vegas strip.  What did you think I meant?  Geez people- get your dirty minds out of the gutter ;)

Day 7- on the sea again

It's official!  11 months later (seriously) and I'm finally done blogging on our cruise.  I know we took 1300 pictures and all but come on- I sucked at blogging about it.  One of my summer goals is to get ALL caught up on blogging.  I'm hopeful since it's only May and I'm really motivated :)  Without further ado... our last day on our cruise was spent on the open seas...

Some final pictures of the boat- so pretty!

We rock climbed that morning.

**Revision** Evidently my memory has failed me because I swore up and down that I beat Trent but evidently he and his family remember things a bit differently... rematch on the next cruise?

After rock climbing we headed to the Flow Rider.  Trent, Jerad, and me were the only ones foolish enough to try.  Trent made it look somewhat easy so I figured it wasn't gonna be too bad.

I was wrong- it was hard!!  And as Ashley pointed out- I look like a cheerleader even while falling.  I'm just glad I didn't lose my bottoms like that one girl.  Yikes.

And probably one of my most favorite pictures of Jerad ever.  Especially after his infamous quote, "I used to skateboard when I was younger, so I'll probably be pretty good at this." Oh how that will haunt him for the rest of his life ;)

The rest of the day was spent lounging by the pool sipping on some of these concoctions.  Light up souvenir glass and all :)

After we got ready that night we all headed to the front of the ship for our Jack and Rose moment.  Doesn't everybody act out the scene from Titanic?!?

Our boat sailed by Miami that sunset.

The whole family- when's our next one guys??

How gorgeous is that?!?

Sunset pic with my love

Our last dinner with our awesome servers.

Ending the cruise just like we started it- cheersing with some wine!

Lora bringing out her inner model :)

The next day back on the plane to head back to KC.  We were so sad to end our trip, that's for sure!

Day 6- Cozumel

And on to Day 6...

Day 6 was the day we docked at Cozumel, Mexico.

We started the day with some shopping.

Then hit up the beach for some cervezas :)

From the day we booked our cruise I told Trent I had to take a Zac Brown pic. You know the line..."toes in the water, ass in the sand, not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand... life is good today." :)

For those who we sent Christmas cards to- you've already seen this one.  It was July 1st when we were taking it.  Trent's always such a good sport for me.

My fave from the whole trip

Family beach day was AWESOME

My favorite activity

The fam

Ashley and Jerad's Corona based commercial for Sol.

I paid cinco dineros to play with some monkeys.  They were crazy little guys!

After lounging on the beach all day we decided to hit the open water on some jet skis.

Loved this- so much fun in the crystal blue water

Lora and Bob did some "Corona commercials" as well

Cheap cervezas and chips and salsa= heaven in a bucket/bowl

Back to the ship...

Our only picture from that night because of some awful sea sickness- boo!! I hadn't felt nauseous at all the entire trip but that night it finally got me.  Thankfully, I got a hubs who didn't mind leaving the dinner before we could eat, crawling into bed, and ordering room service with me.  Plus we're total geeks who enjoyed the documentary marathon about building cruise ships on the TV that night.  You'd think we were some sort of old married couple or something :)
