Two weekends ago we had the excitement of some house guests for the weekend!!! Our friends, Paul and Britney, and their two kiddos, Connor and Chloe, came to visit for the whole weekend! They live in Texas and we haven't seen them in a year and a half :( Imagine not seeing some of your best friends for that long. It's hard.
I met Paul and Britney at a party while I was at KU my freshman year, through my boyfriend at the time. We all became quick friends and Britney and I would spend many days on Mass St. together :) The next year she ended up transferring to a photography school in Denver and I transferred down to Emporia for a smaller school. But for some friends, distance doesn't matter. Britney and Paul are proof of that! We love them dearly!
We all woke up early on Saturday morning so we could start our day of fun. We began the morning at Crown Center. We first hit up the Crayola store for Connor to play.

Getting some help from Mom.

Chloe stayed warm and snug while her brother played.

Connor working on his masterpiece.
After some playing and shopping around we headed to Fritz's for lunch. Britney had seen my blog post about me and Trent's date there back in November so we thought the kids might like it.

Connor wearing his conductor hat.

Chloe was adorable in the hat!

Whole family shot.
After lunch we headed to Union Station for the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit...

Before the exhibit we stopped in the Build-a-Dino store for the kiddos to build their very own dinosaur souvenirs.

They were so cute in their stroller holding their dinos!

But by the time we got to the exhibit... they were out! It's amazing how kids can sleep through a noisy exhibit with dinosaur roars all around them.

T-Rex

Trent was so proud of himself for taking this shot haha.

The exhibit was really cool for both kids and adults. The dinos all moved, made noises and looked lifelike. Their eyes would blink and you could see their ribs move as they "breathed." It was kinda creepy! But maybe that's just me cause Jurassic Park scared the crap out of me back in the day. I still don't really like it.

The whole gang... kids still zonked out.

T&K

The Miguel's... Pauly looks a little worn out from pushing the stroller all day.
The kids woke up right after we left the exhibit so we headed to Oak Park for some shopping, then out to dinner at Houlihan's.

The 3 men- Connor looks like such a big boy here!

And the three girls :)
It was such a FUN weekend with some of our bestest friends. Thank you so much for coming to see us, we love you guys!!!!!!
