Slacker

That's the word my husband used to describe me and my blogging for the last month... how rude! My last blog post was about the embarrassment I did to myself in Emporia... no I didn't crawl in a hole and die from humiliation ;) We've just had a busy, busy month.

Here's a quick recap in picture form:

One of my goals from my 25 Things book (from my birthday post) was to have a date night once a month. We then decided to take turns each month planning the date night for the other person as a surprise. Since August is insane with me going back to work; Trent got assigned to plan the August date night.

Our first stop Trent planned was to head up north to the outdoor shopping area of Zona Rosa. We walked, talked, and more importantly... shopped! I got to pick out some cute new back-to-school clothes :) Then for dinner we headed to Olive Garden for my favorite... the never-ending-pasta bowl!

Normally I don't take pictures of my clothes, but because it will go in my 25 Things book I had to document it all... yes kinda weird.

You know Labor Day weekend's gonna be a blast when the DD RV pulls into G-town!

Let the power hour begin!

My power hour partner in crime :)

Sam's first power hour haha ;)

Me and Wendy's damage... by 8:45 lol.

A boxing reenactment... gotta get my practice in when I can ;)

After the boxing debacle with Wendy destroying me.... I'm gonna have to brag to boost my self-esteem... I carried our team in beer pong. It's okay Wendy... you're still my favorite partner :)

The opposing team of Adam and Fritzy

Trying to keep Caysie awake haha.

You know how I know we're old? When your husband makes you put water in the cups... that way it doesn't make a mess and it's way more sanitary. Uhhhh... are you kidding me???

The party gals... Wendy, Caysie, Erin, Shantel, and myself

Harlee girl
Baby Bentley posing handsome like usual

Best end to the Labor Day weekend... nothing but scrapbooking and girlie movies marathon all day while your hubby does yard work. Sa-weet.

You can tell the dogs had a hard Labor Day weekend. I get out of the shower to find King Bentley has created a thrown for himself and Trent has crashed on the bed as well. Those 2 boys are something else I tell ya :)

Mad that mommy woke him up

Out with my little bro for Mexican food and margaritas for my Mom's birthday.

Beauty just runs in our genes... obviously. Thanks alot Dad!

The family minus Trenton who went to the Chiefs preseason game with his boss.

P-man playing the deer hunter game at Buffalo Wild Wings. That kid is destined to be a hunter!

Glezz and Mikkey pre-bet of chowing down on the hottest wings they got.

Drinks and napkins to blow noses were kept close by.

Some of my G-town boys :)

Austin is a near and dear friend since middle school when he moved to Gardner and all the girls had crushes on him ;) He's been in Japan with the Navy for the last year and got to come home for a month before being stationed in Seattle. We've missed you buddy!!!!!!!!!

We always have to take a Germer tongue pic. Don't know where/when/why this started but it's just something our group does. We even did it on our wedding day... classy as always ;) How many weddings have you seen where a group of like 25 people all stand around and stick their tongues out at a camera? Ya... we're cool like that.

Dana's baby shower... little baby Hermon should be here in less than a month!!!!!! The cake was so cute... a little baby tushy!

All of Dana's guests at the shower. I have no shame making complete strangers take self timer pics... they probably think I'm crazy. That's okay ;)

Beautiful night on the deck for wine and homemade pizza night... followed by Baskin Robbins ice cream for dessert :)

Add this to the list of meals Kala can make. I might actually be up to 10 things I can make... without the use of a microwave ;)

Awesome rainbow shining through the clouds one night when we got home.

Craft fair in Hillsboro. This thing is HUMONGOUS!

This craft fair is totally worth getting up at 6:30 on a Saturday morning to then drive two hours... me, Trent, Ashley, Jeryn, and my BFF Jobeth all met Bob, Lora, and Angie for the annual craft fair.

Lots and lots of tents... but man was it hot!

Some of my loot... my favorites are the green firepot for out patio table (it's so cool!!!) and the decorative wood thingy that you stick a wine bottle and a couple of wine glasses in. If you haven't been to the Hillsboro craft fair... you are missing out!

Jeryn's getting ready for Halloween in her pink glow-in-the-dark PJ's :)

Trent did all sorts of things to our yard and has now killed it off to prepare for next year. It's pretty ghetto looking.

My boy hard at work.

I told him not to even come inside and that he was gonna get a shower from the hose in the yard before I let him enter our house. He clearly did not use his listening skills.

Trent's arm is the filthy black one... the yard work took it's toll!
