Days 5, 6, 7

 Day 5: Someone I Love
Couldn't pick just one so here's my 3 someone(s) I love.  A fun/tiring weekend means lots of bedtime snuggles with our furbabies.

 Day 6: Childhood Memory
My favorite stuffed animal from childhood, Rabby Bunny.  Cool name, right?  I believe I've had it since I was about 3 and Rabby Bunny has seen/heard/done it all with me :)

Day 7: Something New
Ellie Edge has had an upgrade!  For my birthday Trent went and got Ellie's windows tinted and man did it make a difference with the heat wave we had going on.  Now that we got that done Trent's already talking about what tires and wheels he wants for her.  I'll leave all that car/boy stuff to him...

Day 4

Today's challenge was to take a picture of your favorite color.  Pink it is which is here on the case for my Evo.  I'm not allowed to decorate with any pink obviously so I get my pink fix where I can :)

30 Day Photo Challenge: Days 1-3

In an effort to learn how to work this fancy-schmancy camera I saw a picture challenge on one of my blogs.  It gives you a list of 30 different pictures to take- something different each day.  It's my hope that I will take each daily picture and blog about it daily too... ya we'll see about that with going back to work :-/

Day 1: Self Portrait:
It had been a long day meeting my student teacher (yay!), mentor training for my 2nd year of mentoring my team teacher Ryan, working in my classroom, and an insurance meeting.  Please disregard my heat wave induced mop on the top of my head.

Day 2: What I Wore
Comfy clothes & a wet ponytail as I headed to grad school.  Typical outfit for a teacher on summer break :) I guess Bentley and Harlee wanted to show what they wore too... their fur coats.  And would you please ignore that my mirror needs to be windexed.  Thanks :)

Day 3: Clouds
Uhhh... sure? 1. I'm no good at this new camera yet. 2. There were like NO clouds tonight when we got home.  Sooo to make my pictures more interesting we threw in some flying dogs.

The convo went something like this...
"Trent get out here."
"Why?"
"I need you to hold up the dogs so they look like they are flying."
"...... (long pause and eye roll)"
"Don't give me that look just do it."
"Alriiiiiiiight."

Then as we prepared ourselves for the premiere of Jersey Shore season 4 (yes we LOVE trashy tv) Trent looks out and sees some clouds.  I can't miss any fist-pumping, smushing, fighting, GTL'n so this is whatcha get... nothing too cool or exciting but maybe by day 30 I'll finally know how to use this dang thing instead of pushing random buttons.

Rowdy & Court's Wedding

This past Saturday we headed down to Pittsburg for the wedding of my teacher friend, Rowdy, and his now wife Courtney.  We had such a good time that we decided that what happens in Pitt stays in Pitt... so there will be no stories shared... only pictures.  Enjoy...

The first dance of the couple.

 Dollar dance time with Trent.

Rowdy got all us gals for his dollar dance... lucky guy ;) Sorry my head blocked you Cara...

The 4 Ridge girls who could make it.  Cara is a new member to the team and we're so excited to have her join the Ridge family!!!  We won't hold it against ya that you're marrying James...

One of the groomsmen made wine for the Mr. and Mrs... pretty sure we all wanted to become friends with him after sampling them both.  Oh and did I mention the reception started at 3:30?  Good times :)

 I love my Jenna-bo-Benna

 Rowdy and Trent

Please notice the progression of Trent's faces in these next pictures... that's the tell tale sign Trent is really enjoying himself ;)

 Face 3

Cara and James... James taught with us last year and now we are so excited that his fiance is joining us in the special education department!

Sprague and Jenna... sharing a hotel room with these two and Amanda was a night full of fun, pizza rolls, and nachos.  Sadly no pictures after we left the reception but Pittsburg showed us a good time.  Congratulations Rowdy and Court- hope Cancun is treating you well!!!

Day 2- at sea

Sorry folks...slacking on blogging since our cruise was over a month ago and I'm just NOW posting day 2.  Ehh... what can ya do?

Day 2 was spent at sea and that's exactly what we saw when we woke up... nothing but the big blue ocean all around us.  Awesome!

First thing that morning us gals headed to a scrapbooking class.  Yes- they offer scrapbooking in the middle of the ocean!  Awesome.  We pretty much bought whatever they had lol.  But in our defense we HAD to.  Nowhere else would I ever be able to find stickers and embellishments that are personalized with the name of our ship.  And it was buy 2 packs get 1 free.  Who could say no?

Now does this guy look excited or what?  This was before I dragged him we headed to salsa class!!  We made a deal that we could each make the other person go to whatever class we wanted.  I made him do salsa and you'll see later what he made me do :(

It was SOOOO much fun and Trent go to show off his moves ;)  I would upload the videos that Trent's mom took for us but I'm afraid I'd be sleeping outside tonight.  And it's really hot.  So unless someone is willing to take me for a roommate (I'm really clean and tidy!) I probably won't be uploading it.  But for real... I think we're ready for Dancing With the Stars now :)

Salsa class must've put me in the mood for dancing cause we got to do line dancing at Johnny Rockets for lunch.  Too bad Trent wasn't willing for a second go-round at dancing with me.

Lunch was delish if you can't tell by Ashley's burger.

So incredibly stuffed... just in time to go put on bathing suits.  Oh joy.

At the adult only pool (awesome idea btw...) with our mango tango drinks.  Hello slice of heaven... totally worth being $9.50 each.  At least we got to keep the cute souvenir glasses!

Thumbs up for pool time!

After spending all afternoon at the pool we headed back to our rooms for a quick nap.  How awesome is this picture that Bob took?!

That evening was our first formal night with Captain Tor joining in the festivities.  Would've been way cooler if his name was Captain Thor but whatever... I couldn't understand anything he said with his accent anyway.

Unlimited free champagne for the whole fam?  Why not?

Had to include this one cause it's Trent's "salsa dip".  That class did wonders ;)

The beautiful dining room!  After dinner was bingo and the music and dance show.  Next up (maybe tomorrow if I'm good)... Day 3 in Labadee, Haiti.

Flapper Girls

Sorry for lack of posts this week- lots of fun happening with my mother in town for a week!

Two weekends ago me and Shantel took a roadtrip to Wichita to celebrate our friend Dani getting married in a few short weeks!  It was 1920's flapper themed so we all had to dress the part.

The flapper bride opening her gifts.

Dark picture but you can kinda see the whole group before we loaded the party bus.

Check out our saweet hot glue/sequin/feather headbands we DIY'ed for the occasion.

On the bus it was a murder mystery game so we drove all over Wichita collecting clues and picking up different actors up along the way.  It was really cool and me and Shantel were super excited when we actually guessed the murderer right!  It's always those quiet ones...

Down in Old Town for lots of dancing... we got lots of looks with our costumes!

The bride-to-be and her mom

Our last stop was at Club Rodeo which I've heard lots about but have never been.  Live bull riding in a bar= crazy.  Dirt was flung down my dress as I sat there wondering where on earth we were.

With the gorgeous almost-Mrs. Erker!

The bars were great but we had the most fun on the bus.  So much fun I already got a rip in my new dress :(  Glad my mother-in-law is an expert seamstress :)
Back to the Erker house for munchies!

We took this picture the next morning as we headed back to KC.  We pulled into a gas station for Gatorade and Mt. Dew... looked over... and saw this.  Really?  Only in Kansas....
